Who we are

FareHawk is an iOS app built and operated by Leonardo Cardoso, based in Berlin, Germany. For privacy questions, write to leo+farehawk@leocardz.com. Full legal contact is in the imprint.

What we store on our server

We keep the minimum needed to send you a price alert:

• Your Apple Push Notification (APNs) token, which lets us deliver the alert to your device.
• The parameters of each route you are tracking: origin, destination, dates, cabin class, passenger count, alert threshold, and an offer signature.
• Price snapshots and a rolling 14-day price history for each tracked route.

That is it. No email address, no account, no device identifier beyond the APNs token.

What stays on your device

All watchlist state and alert history live in SwiftData on your device. When you are signed into iCloud, SwiftData syncs through the CloudKit private database, which Apple encrypts end-to-end. We never see that data.

Third parties

We send data to a small number of services, only for the purposes below:

• Apple APNs. Delivers push notifications to your device.
• Duffel. Searches flights on our behalf. We forward the route parameters you chose (origin, destination, dates, cabin class, passenger count). No user identifier is attached.
• Cloudflare. Hosts the backend Worker and KV storage that keeps your route entries and price history.

No analytics, no advertising, no data brokers, no social login.

Retention

• Your push token and route entry are kept while the route is active. They are deleted when you unwatch the route or when the departure date passes.
• Price history is kept on a rolling 14-day window and trimmed automatically.

Your controls

• Remove a route in the app and the server unregisters it immediately.
• Revoke notification permission in iOS Settings at any time.
• Delete the app and the server prunes your watcher the next time a push fails to deliver.

Children

FareHawk is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page updates. The app keeps linking to this URL, so whatever is here is current.
